DivorceOptions.ca only collects Personally Identifiable Information you explicitly and intentionally provide in order for you to access and use our services. In this case, you may be able to visit the web site, and browse the Customer Support Center and Articles; however, we cannot process an order without such information.

Traffic and Visitor Information
DivorceOptions.ca utilizes a number of internal and third party methods to recognize visitor data such as IP addresses and browser settings ('Visitor Data'). DivorceOptions.ca's internal servers and software automatically recognizes Visitor Data. No Personal Identifiable Information (as defined below) is revealed in this process. DivorceOptions.ca may also use such Visitor Data to compile traffic data about the kind and types of visitors that use the web site at specific intervals ('Traffic Data').
From time to time, DivorceOptions.ca may use the standard cookie feature of major browser applications and third party providers as well as employ internally developed cookies and tracking code which allows DivorceOptions.ca to store a small piece of data on a visitor's computer about the visit to the DivorceOptions.ca web site. In order for each customer to access and utilize DivorceOptions.ca's products and services, DivorceOptions.ca requires each customer to provide us with personal information (collectively 'Personally Identifiable Information'). Personally Identifiable Information is only captured when a visitor signs in to the system and willingly discloses such information in the Account section of the web site or in response to questions while creating divorce papers with our DivorceOptions.ca Document Automation Software.
Personally Identifiable Information includes, but is not limited to: (i) 'Contact Data' (such as your name, address, city, province, postal code, phone number and email address), (ii) 'Demographic Data' (such as your postal code and gender), and (iii) other 'Personal Data' (such as your personal information necessary to generate divorce papers). This Personally Identifiable Information is necessary to generate the products and services created by our DivorceOptions.ca Document Automation Software.
Please be advised that certain personal information becomes public record upon the filing of divorce papers with the court. For example, the full name of both spouses (collectively 'the Style of Cause') become public information upon the filing of divorce papers with the court. DivorceOptions.ca's privacy policy does not cover actions by these third parties.
Use of Personal Information
DivorceOptions.ca, sometimes with third party assistance, may use your Personally Identifiable Information to verify your identity and process your order and payment through merchant account services, to generate the products and services you create with our DivorceOptions.ca Document Automation Software, and to analyze our customer demographics to better serve you.
Your Contact Data may be used to contact you in order to follow up with transactions initiated on the DivorceOptions.ca web site, inform you of any changes to the web site and send you additional information about DivorceOptions.ca. We do not sell or rent Personally Identifiable Information to third parties, except as necessary to provide you with the services we offer. We may also provide it to a third party in order to comply with the law.
Please note that Contact Data and Traffic Data is used to gather general statistics regarding our customers and visitors respectively, in order to enhance the consumer experience on the web site. We may also use demographic data in a manner that does not identify you specifically or allow you to be contacted but does identify certain criteria about our users in general. For example, we may inform third parties about the number of registered users, number of unique visitors, and the pages most frequently browsed.
