BC Divorce Court Fees

The BC Supreme Court charges a fee to file for divorce in BC. There is a separate fee to file each stage of your BC divorce. These court fees are mandatory for all BC Divorce applicants.

The court filing fees are:

• $218 for stage 1 - filing the divorce action,
• $62.00 for stage 2 - applying for divorce order, and
• $31.00 for stage 3 - per Certificate of Divorce requested (optional).

BC Divorce Self Filer

If you are filing your divorce forms in court yourself, you may pay court filing fees in cash, debit card (most courts) or by money order or certified cheque payable to the Minister of Finance. The court does not accept payment in advance so each fee must be paid as and when each filing is made.

BC Divorce with Filing Service

With our Filing Service, we will make all the trips to the court, wait in line, and file your divorce forms for you. Court filing fees are not included, and can be paid as and when each filing is made. The court filing fee can be paid by providing a money order made payable to the Minister of Finance or you can pay online by credit card below.
